Chalet Bonjour-Panoramique, Ski Chalet Tignes les Brévières

We were lucky to be offered the Chalet Bonjour-Panoramique in summer 2012. Recently built chalets of this size and quality are rarely available in Tignes les Brévières, especially those that are close to a lift. The chalet Bonjour-Panoramique is appropriately named with both the sitting room and dining room and many of the bedrooms having stunning views of the piste, mountains and village from large windows and balconies.

Rooms at the Bonjour-Panoramique can be booked individually or the whole chalet can be reserved exclusively by groups of 20 to 30 guests.

The chalet has five floors, the main entrance being from a low walled terrace, adjacent to the road, into level three, with the levels below cascading down the mountain. The level above, the 'Summit Suite', contains three triple en-suite bedrooms, which can booked by groups of six to nine to benefit from the private use of the upper sitting area with its spectator gallery looking down over the main sitting room below, and access to a private balcony.

Every room in the chalet benefits from the extensive use of timber beams and wood panelling in natural, unstained timber. All the heating is underfloor, with individual controls in every bedroom.

The larger than average bedrooms, each with beautifully tiled floors, have hand-made wooden furniture, uniquely designed, for each bedroom. Bathrooms and toilets are fully tiled, with much use of marble, slate and granite, and are fitted out to a very high standard. Many have walk-in showers as well as baths. All bathrooms are fitted with heated towel rails.

To enhance your stay at Chalet Bonjour-Panoramique:

• Arrival
  On arrival, bags and skis can be unloaded directly outside the chalet, where staff will, whenever possible, help to carry them to your room.
• Staff
  The Chalet Bonjour-Panoramique has a staff of five. All are encouraged to socialise with guests, and to be available to offer help and advice when needed.
• Drinks Reception
  Before the evening meal on the day of your arrival, after having settled yourself into the chalet Bonjour-Panoramique, you will be made to feel welcome with an introduction to our staff over a glass of bubbly.
• Car Parks
  For those arriving by car, there are two large, free car parks in the village. There are also two indoor parking spaces which can be pre-booked (extra charge).
• Smoking
  Our ski chalets are all non-smoking. Smoking is only permitted on the balconies and terraces.

Chalet Facilities

All the rooms are within range of our free Wi-Fi network for those who bring their own laptops or handheld. All bedrooms have a hairdryer. Unlike many chalets, all bedrooms are lockable. All beds have individual reading lights and there are spare mains sockets in each bedroom for charging mobiles, computers and toothbrushes, etc. Towels are changed midweek if required. All bathrooms benefit from a plentiful supply of hot water. However, as energy costs in France are high, we do ask that people use hot water with care.

• Lounge and Dining Room
  From the entrance hall on level three, there is a doorway into the large lounge, beautifully timbered throughout, with wood panelled walls. There are breath-taking views of the piste, lifts and lake from large French windows which open on to the balcony. There is a log-burning fire at one end and the room can comfortably seat around thirty guests. Above, on three sides, a gallery overlooks the lounge. On level one, there is a superb dining room. The chefs can be seen preparing dinner, through a large, arched, serving hatch. The dining room can seat all guests comfortably around large tables. A traditional Alpine dresser at one end of the dining room and a sideboard at the other, along with sunken lights in the timbered ceiling, help to create a wonderful atmosphere in the evening.
• Sauna
  There is a sauna suite available free of charge to guests from 4.00 pm until 7.15 pm.
• Bedrooms
  There are 11 bedrooms at the Bonjour-Panoramique. All bedrooms have fully en-suite bathrooms, some with a bath, some with a shower, and many with both. There are double bedrooms, twin bedrooms and also some family triple bedrooms.

Points to Note
Everyone enjoys a few drinks more than normal on a ski holiday and our staff will provide you with plenty of wine during dinner. However, we do not at any time tolerate loutish behaviour or drunkenness that disturbs or upsets our other guests, our staff or our neighbours.

During your stay, our chalet staff will look after you to the best of their abilities. It must be remembered that they are not full time professional staff, so please do not expect levels of service to reach that of luxury hotels.

We do not accept stag / hen parties.

French regulations regarding 'on mountain' activities are unclear and ambiguous. We reserve the right to withdraw activities such as ski hosting or tobogganing nights if required to do so by the authorities.
